I think I have driven home the message that we are in the time of the Seals, that this war in Ukraine is the opening of the Second Seal, that the injections were the opening of the First seal, that the famine taking place on earth is the opening of the Third Seal, and I have been silent on the Fourth Seal. Time for that later. Today, lets enjoy Yahuah’s Word. Just a plain and simple writing on a random portion of the Word. This from 1 Peter, chapter one. Enjoy it.
Greeting
1Pe 1:1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who are elect exiles of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
1Pe 1:2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you.
Born Again to a Living Hope
1Pe 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Pe 1:4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you,
1Pe 1:5 who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1Pe 1:6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials,
1Pe 1:7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1Pe 1:8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,
1Pe 1:9 obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
1Pe 1:10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully,
1Pe 1:11 inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories.
1Pe 1:12 It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.
Called to Be Holy
1Pe 1:13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1Pe 1:14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance,
1Pe 1:15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
1Pe 1:16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
1Pe 1:17 And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile,
1Pe 1:18 knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold,
1Pe 1:19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.
1Pe 1:20 He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you
1Pe 1:21 who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
1Pe 1:22 Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart,
1Pe 1:23 since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God;
1Pe 1:24 for “All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,
1Pe 1:25 but the word of the Lord remains forever.” And this word is the good news that was preached to you.
Now let’s look at the highlighted words. Remember that Peter is teaching the HEBREWS, the exiles, the ELECT exiles of the dispersion. These ELECT are those who keep Torah and have the testimony of Yahusha. You, if you fit this definition, are the elect yourself, a staggering accomplishment of the Holy Spirit and your own will, choosing to love the Truth. Peter says the same thing later in this teaching.
1Pe 1:2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood…”
This plainly speaks to the acceptance of Yahusha as savior, the messiah, our redeemer, and to obedience to His teaching – active obedience as a way of life for those who claim to follow Him.
We have been grieved, have we not? Sorrows seem to be a way of life for many of us. Yahusha was a man of many sorrows, and the absence of sorrows are mentioned in describing life eternal. These sorrows squeeze our hearts. They challenge us, digging ever deeper into the well of Truth, tightening our relationship with Yahuah through His Ruach, which dwells within those who follow the Way. It is the Ruach who guides us to the Way. Without His guidance , we would perish. It is the Will of Yahuah which leads us to salvation. We do not choose Him. Rather, He chooses us. His door is open to any who will embrace Him, but few do, choosing to create their own version of “God” and following that artificial construct on a broad and popular path. You know how that ends.
“the genuineness of your faith” – His testing is for our good. Honestly, I grow weary of His testing. I want to live free of the burden of testing, but that would be detrimental to my relationship with my Father, because I will live forever in the kingdom of His creation and will live with whatever He gives me there. If you knew me better you would know that I have almost zero desire for things this world values, particularly wealth, big houses or fancy cars. That sort of thing. I only ask for what I need, and Yahuah provides . He always does. Every time. Still I whine 🙂
But these difficulties are like a hammer on steel in a forge. They make us stronger, and our reward will be greater and He knows that so we should literally shut up and stop begging Him to “relieve us of this burden, oh Lord.” We are taught to thank Him for our suffering, whatsoever condition we find ourselves in, give praise.
Prophets – what is a prophet? Is a prophet a fortune teller? A teller of ghost stories? A card reader? No, nothing that exotic and foolish. A prophet is one who reads carefully the Words and weighs them out with equal care. A prophet is a teacher of Truth, and a good prophet is very careful about his teachings, always leaning in to Truth, always strictly adhering to the protocols established by Yahuah. “Be ye perfect, as I am perfect.” So there is a high standard.
Several of you reading these words are true prophets. Not fortune-tellers or hand-waving blasphemers who sell religion for a nice profit, but loyal and royal priests who would rather be burned at the stake by Nero than to blaspheme the Truth. This is also true of some of you ladies. Few women are legitimate prophets, as are few men, but there are female prophets in the Word: Judge Deborah was only one of a few women described as a prophet in the Old Testament (the others are: Miriam (Exodus. 15:20), Huldah (2 Kings 22:14; 2 Chronicles 34:22), Sarah, Hannah, Abigail, Esther, Noadiah – false prophet (Nehemiah 6:14), and “the prophetess” (Isaiah 8:3).
“…Spirit of Christ in them…” – this is the same Ruach that indwells the elect. There is only one Ruach ha Quodesh, just as there is only one Almighty, the One who IS. That Ruach will always, without fail, every time in everyone He inhabits point to Truth within the person who is indwelt. We will eventually wander, wide-eyed, into Torah and the Instructions. I was overwhelmed by the Ruach ha Quodesh at the age of 19 or 20, and had NO IDEA what had happened to me. I simply thought I had lost my mind that night, alone in the desert (1.7 million acres of desert 🙂 And dear reader, I didn’t consider myself a “christian” at that time, but it said “Christian” on my dog tags, and I had been baptized at age 12… So Yahuah saves whom He chooses to save.
Rom 9:18 Therefore has he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardens.
He saves whom He chooses, and burns whomever He chooses. And we cannot go before Him unless He chooses us to come before Him. 🙂 I love that. His authority is complete. So complete that His authority itself submits to Himself. He truly is awesome beyond words or understanding. I kneel.
Prophets have the Ruach ha Quodesh in them FIRST, then they become prophets over time. Lots of men and women call themselves “prophets” and your spirit identifies them as liars and blasphemers immediately, doesn’t it?
1Pe 1:13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1Pe 1:14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance,
1Pe 1:15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
At the revelation of Yahusha. Sounds like the last days to me. Grace to us then, in these days. Grace.
Definition: Grace – “unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification”. Regeneration. Sanctification.
Definition: Sanctification – “To impart or impute sacredness, inviolability, or respect to.
So when we are imbued with Grace at the Revelation of Yahusha, we are given by Yahusha unearned divine assistance which makes us sacred. We become uniquely holy. Me – imagine me being sanctified and holy. Yet I feel its power even as I type these words. We are to conduct ourselves as holy ones at all times in all circumstances. Not puffed up (the leaven that puffs up the loaf), but humble. Firm. Standing on the foundation of Truth. Merciful and forgiving.
1Pe 1:17 And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds,
We are made in His image. We are made by Him to be like Him. So judge impartially and according to the things one does.
1Pe 1:22 Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart,
Purification comes through the process of submitting oneself to the Truth. And where is that Truth? Oh my.

The Truth is Torah, and the study of Torah and the obedience to its teachings leads one into Truth, which sets us free indeed. Yahusha was here as a human who walked perfectly in the Way of Truth, of Torah. He was the living Torah on display for all to see and to learn from.
Yahuah hates the prayers of those who reject Torah…
1Pe 1:25 but the word of the Lord remains forever.” And this word is the good news that was preached to you.
Dear Jerry, reading your thoughtful words & commentary above, truly strengthens me on those firm grounds of my newly found faith in the love among us oftentimes angry self-deceiving sheep! Again, I want to thank you deeply for enriching my spirit with your valuable voice, my dear brother ! Your prayers Jerry & those of the brethren have reached my heart and had a refreshing impact on my will to courageously walk (or roll ;-)) my path. Since I failed to find the original post about your oldest son, I want to tell you my thoughts hereof by dropping a few lines via memory. I think your rebelling son is probably hurting keenly on the inside of his young chest. He’s probably struggling to control his overarching, frequently ambiguous and fear-inducing emotions & heartaches. Maybe he’s desperately wanting to connect with his masculine self by aggressively engaging with his father who – on his pubertesque brain – feels so distant and narrow-minded compared with his wrathful desire for gulping down anyone and everything on his… Read more »
Thank you, Andreas. Your words are very kind and loving. How are you feeling these days?
Hey Jerry, thanks for asking. Physically I am as fit as one can be with a form of muscular dystrophy because I like doing training as often as possible.
Above else, I am struggling a little currently with getting acquainted with Yahuah’s commandments. I seriously strive for studying & understanding His word as thoroughly as I am able to!
For example, I read this at the moment: https://www.theberean.org/index.cfm/main/default/id/9037/ver/NKJV/ecclesiastes-5-1-7.htm
Those latest deeply sad posts+commentary from you Jerry had an heartwrenching impact on me.
There happened a horrible crime against humanity down in Texas at Uvalde.
I will pray for everyone touched by this horror.
Much love from Germany dear Jerry
Andreas
I am praying for your healing, Andreas. Thanks for the link. Keep reading. Be sure to carefully read and study the first five books of the Bible, Andreas. Every word. The power of Holy Scripture is in Torah. It is transformative. Strength is in it. You will see. From your link… (1) Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil. (2) Do not be rash with your mouth, And let not your heart utter anything hastily before God. For God is in heaven, and you on earth; Therefore let your words be few. (3) For a dream comes through much activity, And a fool’s voice is known by his many words. (4) When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it; For He has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you have vowed— (5) Better not to vow than to vow and not pay. (6) Do not… Read more »
