The Red Dragon of Revelation Comes For One Small and Specific Group of People – Revelation 12:17

Rev 12:17  And the dragon was enraged over the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, those keeping the commandments of God, and having the testimony of Jesus Christ.

In the Book of The Revelation, and in fact in the entire Holy Bible, there is only one group of human beings that The Dragon seeks to kill.  Who is this select group?

The group that the Dragon seeks to destroy consists entirely and exclusively of human beings who do two things: Have the testimony of Yahusha (Jesus) and KEEP the Commandments of Yahuah (the Lord God Almighty).

Why doesn’t the Dragon seek to destroy those who have the testimony of Yahusha (Jesus), but who ignore the commands of Yahuah?  After all, most “Christians” ignorantly or arrogantly proclaim that we are “not under the law“, that we do not have to abide by the Commands of Yahuah because “grace” allows us to live as free as butterflies, guided by our hearts.

The Testimony Of Jesus Christ

The testimony of Jesus Christ is the testimony of His offer of salvation to any who publicly proclaim Him as Lord, who believe (follow) Him and who seek to live as He tells us to live.  That is the “testimony”, the public proclamation that Yahusha is Lord.

This act opens the door for salvation.  This act grants all who do it the “authority to become” saved.

John 1:12  But as many as received Him, to them He gave authority to become children of God, to the ones believing into His name,

Note that John 1:12 tells us that, when we accept Yahusha as our Lord, we are granted “authority to become”.  It does not say that we “are”, but rather that we are authorized to “become”, implying that we are not yet where He wants us to be.

So what is the next step?  How do we “become” that which we were granted authority to become?

“Those keeping the Commandments of God”

In Revelation 12:17, the Dragon only seeks to kill those who keep the commandments of Yahuah and have the testimony of Yahusha.  Its in your own bible, so maybe you should look it up now.

You see, people who do not diligently seek to know and obey the Commandments of Yahuah are worthless to Yahuah, and also worthless to the Dragon.  Disobedient children, the rebellious, wicked humans who claim “Jesus” but never study and submit to the commands of Yahuah are of no value to Yahuah.

Yahusha says so in John 14.

“John 14:21  He that has My commandments and keeps them, it is that one who loves Me; and the one that loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and will reveal Myself to him.
Joh 14:22  Judas said to Him, not the Iscariot, Lord, what has happened that You are about to reveal Yourself to us and not at all to the world?
Joh 14:23  Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word, and My Father shall love him. And We will come to him and will make a dwelling place with him.
Joh 14:24  The one who does not love Me does not keep My Words. And the Word which you hear is not Mine but of the Father who sent Me.

(Note: “The Words” is the book in your Holy Bible titled Elle Haddabarim -“The Words”- Deuteronomy.  Start at Chapter 12 🙂

So you see, from the mouth of GOD Himself (last verse), if we love Yahusha, we “have (His – Jesus’) commandments and KEEP them.  We study them and guard them in our heart.  Only then, when we study and keep the commands of Yahuah do we prove that we love Yahusha.  And only AFTER we do these things does Yahuah love US, and only after Yahuah loves us for studying and obeying the commands of Yahuah does Yahusha dwell within us.

Yahusah says in v23 that if anyone loves Him, they will keep His word (His commands), and that all who refuse to study and obey the commands of Yahusha DO NOT LOVE HIM.  That will be the “grace – not under the law” crowd of so-called “Christians”.

Yahusha then closes by reassuring His disciples that the Comforter, the Holy Spirit  that Yahuah sends in the name of Yahusha will come and teach us His commands and remind us that we are to study and obey the commands of Yahusha.

John 14:25  I have spoken these things to you, abiding with you;
John 14:26  but the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and shall remind you of all things that I said to you.

So you see, even the Dragon knows who is important – the law-keeping followers of Yahusha.

The Way

This teaching that I am giving you today is not new.  It is over 2000 years old, in fact.  The Way is the path of the redeemed in Christ.  There is only one Way, there is no other.  The Way is the sect that the apostle Paul (Sha-ul) was a member of.  The Way is the path outlined by Yahusha when He said to study His commands, to obey them and to believe on Him as our savior, the lamb of Yahuah.

Sha-ul (Paul) Blinded By Yahusha and Rescued By A Righteous Man Well Versed in Torah

When Sha-ul was blinded, Yahuah sent to Paul a man who was obedient to Torah, as is proper according to the Word.  Yahuah would never send an unrighteous person to teach righteousness.

Act 22:12  “And a certain Ḥananyah a dedicated man according to the Torah, being well spoken of by all the Yehuḏim dwelling there, (Footnote: See Act_9:10 and Act_9:17. )
Act 22:13  came to me, and stood by and said to me, ‘Brother Sha’ul, look up.’ And at that same hour I looked up at him.
Act 22:14  “And he said, ‘The Elohim of our fathers (Exo_3:15) has appointed you to know His desire, and to see the Righteous One, and to hear the voice from His mouth. (Bible translation TS2009)

The Arrest of Paul

Here, Sha-ul (Paul) argues before the Jews (Pharisees and Sadducees)…

Act 22:3 “I am indeed a Yehuḏite (of the tribe of Judah – jd), having been born in Tarsos of Kilikia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamli’ĕl, having been instructed according to the exactness of the Torah of our fathers, being ardent for Elohim (Yahuah), as you all are today,
Act 22:4 who persecuted this Way to the death, binding and delivering up into prisons both men and women,

Sha-ul confesses that he hunted down and killed those of the Way, considering them heretics.  The Way is what I teach and what you are learning.  The Way is salvation through Yahusha, and obedience unto righteousness through study and devotion to the Commands of Yahuah, as commanded forever in the Torah, or the Law and the Prophets.

Next, Sha-ul  is accused by the Pharisees and Saducees…

Act 24:5  For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:  (The Way.  I am Natsari, or one of the Natsarim, those who are of The Way – jd)

Act 24:14  But this I (Sha-ul/Paul – jd) confess unto thee, that after the Way, which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

So Sha-ul tells us here that he follows Yahusha and believes/follows all Torah.  This is our example.  All the disciples were Natasrim, or of The Way.  All followed Torah, and all taught to obey the commands of Yahuah.  When you understand this through the teaching of the Holy Spirit, then the New Testament explodes in clarity for you.

Act 24:22  And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that Way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter.

I will end this teaching at this point.  What I want you to take from this is the following: Salvation and Obedience are two sides of the coin of Truth.  We are called first to salvation through Yahusha, and then immediately to obedience through adherence to the commands of Yahuah as taught in the Law and the Prophets (Torah).  If one claims to follow Yahusha yet rebels against obeying the commands of Yahuah, then salvation was not obtained.  “Salvation” is obtained through acceptance of Yahusha and obedience to the commands.

(KJV)  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

“Salvation”, then, is to be worked out, and always through obedience to the commands of Yahuah, in fear of God to the point of trembling.  Let no man teach you any other gospel.

It is obedience to the Commands that proves our devotion to Yahuah.  If we claim to follow the Messiah but continue to live in rebellion, we clearly are not His.  We are not free to live in sin, and “sin” is transgression of the law.  One “Christian” guy recently boasted to me how many times he had sex with a woman he recently met, and subsequently attacked me quite cruelly when I told him that he clearly was not saved because he continued in his transgression of the law.

Classic christian. The Dragon does not fear them, as they are his and dead already.

Please explain to me how you people are the ‘Woman’s’ seed. I am the woman. A messenger came to me June 1966 and told me what was about to come to be. At midnight 3rd June; 4th June 1971 the dragon sought to devour the woman’s child. How did he do this? All scriptures foretell this. In the First Coming when the Son of God came to save His People from their sins that is what His name means as written Matthew 1:21. Matthew 1:22, 23 is about another woman who gives birth Rev. 12:5 and they call His name Emmanuel. I was told Emmanuel was to be the name called that Son of God. When Mariam came to her cousin Elizabeth the latter by Holy Spirit called out “Blessed are you among woman an blessed is the fruit of your womb. This is in Luke 1:42, 43. In Luke 1:45 says “Blessed too is she who hears from Yahuah a full performance of those things spoken to her from Yahuah. The lady who was… Read more »

Dear Jerry,
I appreciate and love your teachings, I can’t wait for your emails to come I am so hungry for the truth. Please don’t take what I ask as a criticism just someone who wants to understand.
The verse of scripture that says “All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved” and the thief who hung on the cross, Jesus told him that he would be in paradise with him that day. Neither of them necessarily having kept the law. How do I need to understand those scriptures.
Yours in Yehusha
Christine
