IF – Poem by Rudyard Kipling, Recited From Memory by Dennis Hopper

“IF” is a very special poem written by Rudyard Kipling.  Here we have it recited in full and from memory, live onstage of the Johnny Cash Show by a young Dennis Hopper.  Dennis is one of my favorite actors because Dennis could play very unique characters in movies.  Three that come to mind immediately – Blue Velvet, a very strange movie I watched decades ago; Apocalypse Now, with Marlon Brando; Easy Rider (Directed and starred in).  Dennis died a year or so ago, and although I never heard him speak of the Messiah nor praise Ani, I loved watching him in movies.
