Sitting in Sunday School this morning, our teacher asked everyone to turn to 1st John, chapter three, verse four. I love this scripture, as it defines what sin is. Let me ask you, before you go further, what is sin?
Its clearly defined for us. My Pastor said “We should believe what Jesus says about the Word of God”., and he is right. My Pastor also said “When we contradict Yahweh, we blaspheme Him”, which is also true.
So what is sin, brothers?
Most people in your church, including you, likely do not know. Our Pastors teach continually the necessity of “not sinning”. We all know sin = bad. We all know we are sinners, yet as Paul said, we do continually obey our flesh and deny our minds, ultimately we sin. But sin can be avoided, because Yahuah tells us plainly each sin. In writing.
Our minds, when properly trained, understand sin and can more easily avoid it. We can be certain that Paul did not sin greatly nor often, but when he did sin, he grieved over it. Sin, for the faithful, is a tremendous burden, a painful thing that claws at our gut like some willful and wicked unborn child in the womb.
We seek to “avoid sin” for only one reason – because sin displeases our Lord, Yahuah. We do not “avoid sin” because we personally hate sin. That would not be a true statement. Our flesh loves sin, loves sinners and loves to propagate sin among the people. Sin feeds and nourishes sin. Sin practically has a life of its own, almost like demon possession, as sin resides in our very flesh, according to the good Teacher Sha-ul (Paul).
Romans 7 -…17In that case, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. 18I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh; for I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19For I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I keep on doing the evil I do not want to do.…
Sounds like demon possession to me. Not that the saved are possessed, for that is impossible.
“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body” (1 Cor. 6:19).
Still, we continue to sin after we are saved, because we are trapped in this skin-suit that is no doubt corrupt.
“Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these” (Gal. 5:1921).
We do sin less, and as we continue in study of His Word, which is perfect, inspired, God-Breathed and word-for-word the exact representation of His Will for us, we become more and more like Him, like Yahuah.

Quick question: Is Yahuah so weak and feeble that He cannot get a good copy of His Word into our hands?
When The Word says…
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
…does He mean that we perish because we do not have access to the truth, or is it because we simply do not read and study the Truth?
Remember this –
James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself (hears the Word-the commands/laws/instructions), and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was (because he did not put into practice what he learned).
I’m betting on the latter of the two; we do not read and study, because the Word is Truth, and light and life is in it. People in general, and I mean ALL non-followers of the Way and MOST Christians” do not read and study the Word. Therefore they have no knowledge, save for what some man stands in the pulpit and teaches. Most of those “preachers” serve church committees who count dollars and attendance, and have personal agendas, so the preacher will not stray from accepted dogma religion lest he be fired.
Which is why the church is nearly dead. We are not a “unique people” as He desires, a nation of priests, yet submission to the Word will make us unique and highly visible if we adhere to it. Christians are ashamed of their faith, and most certainly should be, because they do not have any faith. Christians are timid, when we are commanded to be bold.
John 14:27 “I leave peace to you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be timid. (Literal Translation of the Holy Bible – LITV)
In short, ignoring the Truth, the churches teach exceptionally weak doctrine because that fills seats. The people, being loaded up to the ear canals with secret desires and motivations, seek out pastors who will tickle their ears with permissive sin. “Grace” they shout – “Because of Grace, we are free to live our lives as we best understand them, and God will not hold you accountable for error if you live ‘sincerely’. ”
You know, “saved” Christians abandon the churches because there is nothing but “feel good” and/or damnation preached thereafter. The Lord God Yahuah calls them to salvation, and we totally kill their desire to follow Jesus by telling them
“GRACE! The Law is DEAD. Don’t sin, but whatever you do is ok, mostly, but ask forgiveness and forgive everybody and vote Republican ‘cos America is a Christian nation and you can eat anything you want because Jesus did away with the law, it says so in Galatians.”
Listen, the “Law” as it is incorrectly called, is awesome, and it will make you feel very self-conscious at first. But you actually feel the tremendous impact of it and your faith grows tremendously. And those so-called “Jewish holidays”? Not so. Those are Yahuah‘s APPOINTED times and feasts. They are no more “Jewish” than the moon is cheese.
So then, what is sin?
Is murder a sin? Is rape? Abortion? Lust? Covetousness? Adultery? What about coveting your neighbors brand new Mercedes? Or his land? What about cursing your dad or your mom? Are these sins?
How can you PROVE those are sins if we live under “Grace”? If the Law (not the demonic Talmudic ‘law’ created by the Scribes and Pharisees, which Jesus condemned to hell.) but the Law spoken from the mouth of God when He wrote the 10 Commandments is now void, then it is impossible for us to sin. Yet Jesus commands us over and over, as does the Bible in its entirety, do not sin.
If sin is therefore possible and active, then what is at work? Certainly not “Grace” that free-ride to damnation that so many “Christians” take. In fact, that free-ride might be the “great deception” specified in 2nd Thessalonians 2:11-12
2Th 2:11 And because of this, God will send to them a working of error, for them to believe the lie,
2Th 2:12 that all may be judged, those not believing the truth, but who have delighted in unrighteousness.
Do you know what “unrighteousness” is? Maybe not? Why was Abraham considered “righteous”? Working of error? This is a church doctrine, isn’t it? So the deception is in the church, for why bother to send a deception onto the lost? They are already hooked on some delusion. But in the church, the lukewarm spittle, the chaff to be thrown into the fire – a deception for them, a deception created by the Lord Yahuah to cull out the unrighteous…
He told me that He is coming “to separate thge righteous from the unrighteous”. He said those words to me. “I am coming to separate the righteous from the unrighteous.” There is more to that vision. I’ll post it later.
Definition of righteous (Merriam-Webster)
Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
Sin, dear brothers, is “transgression of the Law”.
1st John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
If John, the disciple to whom Jesus presented his very own mother Miriam as he hung on the cross, says “sin is transgression of the Law“, have you ever asked yourself what that means? Are you afraid of it? Do you say “We are not under the law”, while God states plainly that we are required to abide by His law.
Jesus never said we could ignore His Law. In fact, the Word plainly states:
1st John 2:4 He that saith, “I know him”, but keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
“Truth” is not an ideal or a concept. TRUTH is Jesus, The living Word. And the heart and soul of the Word are the Commands of His Father. Therefore, if we ignore the Commands of Yahuah, we ignore the Truth, and the Truth is not in us. Understand now?
This is so important that YHWH/Yahuah/El Shaddai/Jehovah/The Lord God Almighty will NOT LOVE you if you disregard His commands.
Do you believe that God’s love hinges on your obedience, or do you just think He loves you because you are so precious and unique and special to your momma?
No free rides.
Jesus (Yeshua) tells you and me –
John 14:21 “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”
If we are to successfully avoid sin, then it is required that we know the Law (the correct translation of this word “law” is more accurately interpreted as “Instructions”), the Commandments of YHWH. There is no other path, and this is indeed The Way.
Salvation is through Yeshua, and He commands us to keep the Commands of His Father. Did you think Jesus came to nullify the Commands of His Father? Do you think Yahuah spoke vainly to Moshe (Moses) when He personally spoke each and every command one by one to Moses? Or that Jesus came so, whew!, we can live any way we choose ‘cuz “grace”?
Romans 3:31 “Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.”
By “establish”, Paul states that grace does not eliminate our requirement to obey the commands of Yahuah, but rather that by our obedience to the law, we establish the truth. After all, SIN is transgression of the law, as stated in 1 John 3:4: “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.”
Did you think that Paul started eating pulled-pork sandwiches when the blinders were removed? Did Jesus eat swine? Pork Butt? Ribs? Did you ever read where the Satanic Pharisees accused Jesus of being a pig-eater? Don’t you think they would have? Jesus lived according to the Law of Yahuah, and set the example for us by establishing the validity of the active Law.
Look, don’t feel alone. When the Holy Spirit started moving in me a few months ago to look into the Torah (I did not know what it was. You still don’t know, do you? 🙂 ) I had a freezer FULL of pork butt roasts and ribs. I loved to smoke pork and I loved to eat it. But we are pork-free at the Davis house, and I still have that freezer full of pork to get rid of. Seriously.
We are obviously required by Yahuah to study, abide by and teach His commands. This is Truth. These are not my words, they are His. Now you know them and your acceptance or rejection of them is between you and Yahuah.
He does hold you accountable for what you know. You are accountable for this, as I was accountable before I wrote it. I am required, as His son, to tell the truth and to teach my brothers. If I do not, and you die remaining in rebellion (ignoring the commands of Yahuah), your blood will be on my hands.
Not gonna happen.
I’m not timid about scripture. When I write regarding His Word, He holds me accountable to a higher standard for teaching. Its a risk that I take seriously, and I pray that He will correct me where I err. Absolutely I believe everything I give you. I live by my words. Yahuah is God and we people are … less than. Therefore, I desire to obey Him. Do you? Or do you desire to follow another, for there is no middle ground.
Attached are my notes on Torah. It’s pretty much all scripture with a little commentary where people might not understand a scripture. Download and read it. Its interesting and truthful.

Dear Jerry
I see a great amount of truth in yourds word presented.
I am trying to find sited scripture relating to your assertion
as I understand it, that it is right to fight against the Tyranny
of the New World Order that is clearly evil.
Yahshua stated (Matthew 10:39) Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
Then I also find where I would give my life to defend those
with an Innocent heart.
I do NOT see the scripture sited for your position to fight
physically against the evil Tyranny.
I am not faulting you, OK.
I just really want to see you site the in scripture or even the
Hebrew Translation of the original scriptures.
Please and Shabbat Shalom
I do not see an edit feature for the post ?
Enoch, I do understand your question and why you ask it. Good question. I cite the command of Yahusha that we arm ourselves. Find it in Luke, where He commands His disciples to arm themselves. If the disciples were ordered to bear arms, it also applies to any other who follows in the Way. It is obvious what the purpose of weapons is. When Yahusha was being arrested “one of the disciples’ asked Him in the heat of the confrontation of they were to fight “now”, and Yahusha said that the event taking place must happen “Allow it this far”. Luke 22:51. So there is a limit and His arrest was that limit. “…this far”. Luke 22:49 And those around Him seeing that about to occur, they said to Him, Lord, shall we strike with our swords? It was not only Peter who was armed going in to this confrontation. ALL of the disciples of our Messiah were armed and ready to fight. They asked our Lord for guidance, and guess what He told them?… Read more »
It sounds like you’re using God’s word to pass judgment on us, and I for one don’t need any more guilt trips laid on me by man. I got enough brainwashing as a child, when forced to attend Catholic school for eight years. This was back in the 1960’s. Those Catholic nuns were crazy women. Constantly telling us children we were probably going to hell when we die because we couldn’t possibly do enough good works to earn our way into heaven. I struggle with Christianity thinking because I’m a sinner I’m going to hell when I die. I just recently had my first heart attack and not looking forward to death because I don’t want to go to hell for all eternity! So if Jesus died for my sins then I am trying to convince myself that He has forgiven me. There is nothing I can do to be forgiven but to accept what He did on the cross for my salvation. That’s all.
Linda, thanks for your thoughts. I cannot “pass judgement” on people. Not my job. I just read and write what His Word says. If you are convicted by my writing, that is good for you. When I write, I read the Bible and pray for understanding. The scripture states that “Whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life.” And it also states that “even the demons believe, and tremble”. So “belief” is not the same as salvation. We are called to obedience, plain and simple. We will never get it all correct, but He expects us to pursue Him by studying His Word. Linda, do you read your Bible regularly, and do you pray to Him frequently? Please let me know so we can talk some more.
