I must confess that I copied this article on the Tzitzit from http://www.setapartpeople.com/tzit-tzit-a-reminder-throughout-our-generations . Its a good article that includes more details than I personally would bother with, but it does include the correct references to Abraham and his descendants.
This is a good video presentation on the obedience to the commands of Yahuah. The one glaring omission is defining “sin” for people, which in 1 John 3:4 is stated “sin is transgression (violation) of the law.”
How To Study The Instructions Of Yahuah – It Is Only Difficult When We Personally Make It Difficult
When one is new to Torah observance, one can find oneself at a loss regarding “Where to start”. Its funny that Yahuah left us His “Instructions” or “Words” (mistransliterated as “Law”), without a “Start Here” button to click.
So one will ask friends, search the interweb, read various sections of Torah and generally attempt to piece together a process of study. One thing for sure you will learn, as did I, is this: Obedience is easy until we make it difficult ourselves. It is our selfish flesh that makes obedience difficult, every time.
After church today I enjoyed several good conversations and one exceptional one. Once per month at our gem of a church, we all have lunch together within the church. We sit down, break bread and actually talk and get to know one another.
Today I was wonderfully blessed to share a table and some time with several people that I am acquainted with, and the Lord God Yahuah presented two women directly in front of me, both interested in self-defense due to the pre-trib strife that is escalating in the world.
Self-defense is one of my pet subjects, because, in obedience to Yeshua (renamed “Jesus” by the KJV translators) as He commands in Luke 22:36:
(YLT) Then said he to them, ‘But, now, he who is having a bag, let him take it up, and in like manner also a scrip; and he who is not having, let him sell his garment, and buy a sword,
I found this old clip of a pastor I used to respect. I loved him, and sat near him on Sun-days, armed and prepared to defend him in case a looney burst into our congregation.
He said this in a sermon one Sun-day…
Now, I might be wrong and if I am, please straighten me out, but in my mind, I believe that “performance” is the same as “obedience” and as “study the word”. If the Word teached me to study the word, there must be something in ot that I need to learn.
Might it be that I am required to know that the commands of Yahuah are? Isn’t obedience to His commands the very definition of “Righteousness”, and will not only the RIGHTEOUS inherit eternal life with Yahuah?
And doesn’t Yahusha (still called “Jesus” by the Christians) state Himself, from His very own mouth…
Yahuah Loves Those Who Obey The Commands of Yahusha
John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Yahusha plainly states that our obedience to His commands proves our love for Yahusha, and that Yahuah loves US becausewe love Yahusha . He finishes by declaring that He will manifest himself to us/me/you.
MAN’IFEST, a. [L. manifestus.]
1. Plain, open, clearly visible to the eye or obvious to the understanding; apparent; not obscure or difficult to be seen or understood. From the testimony, the truth we conceive to be manifest.
Seems easy enough to understand – obey His commands in order for Yahuah to love us. If my son offered himself as a perfect sacrifice for some people, and if they ignored his requirement for obeying his commands, would I have mercy on them when they faced me and with lying tongues told me how much they “loved” my son?
We submit to a GOD who has destroyed the whole earth at least once, and some think He has done it at least twice, killing many millions of people. He will not hesitate to burn the scoffers and the disobedient. It isn’t the Christians who the Red Dragon comes to kill, but the diligent students and doers of Torah who follow Yahusha in the Way.
Yahusha came to do ONLY the Will of His Father, and His Will is stated in Torah. This Pastor directly contradicts Yahusha, saying that Yahuah does not love us because what “we have done”, when Yahusha teaches us that Yahuah loves us because we are obedient.
The righteous doctrine of obedience does not fill many seats, folks.
Pastor – you are accountable for the blasphemy under your authority. Either Yahusha is lying in in Jn 14:21, or you are. Assigning as teachers men who do not even know the meaning of the words is proof that you yourself do not know them. Shame. Sin. Remember when I asked you what sin was, and you did not even know? You said it was “disobedience”.
Indeed. Disobedience to what?
Sin is transgression of the LAW. You teach lawlessness to the blind and the deaf.
Alright, please take a deep breath, because no doubt, some will be offended by what I present to you as Biblical, Holy, Inspired “Truth”. You must relax, trust me a little bit and understand that I approach you from a position of love. Love first for the Truth, and then love as I am commanded to love YOU just as much as I love myself. Everything here is scriptural, and most is from the mouth of Yahuah Himself. Continue reading “The Truth”
Mat 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came NOT to send peace, but a sword.35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
When Yahusha spoke these words, He knew with perfect precision what He was saying. He chose His words with complete precision, never saying what He did not intend to say. He could have said “I came not to sendpeace, but division/discord/hatred/enmity” or some other word.
