Lots of “believers” claim to have “faith” in God. But very few Believers know what “Faith” means in Hebrew.
FAITH- The Hebrew word for faith is אמונה (emunah – Strong’s #530) and is an action oriented word meaning “support”. This is important because the Western concept of faith places the action on the one you have faith in, such as “faith in God”. But, the Hebrew word אמונהplaces the action on the one who “supports God”. It is not knowing that God will act, but rather I will do what I can to support God. This idea of support for the word emunah can be seen in Exodus 17:12.
Most readers of the Holy Bible think that “having faith” is important, and certainly it is, but what is most important about “faith” is this – In Hebrew, “faith” is an action word, a verb which means “support”. Therefore, when one is faithful to Yahuah, one supports Yahuah, not the other way around. The demand for action is upon the faithful, not on Yahuah. When we “have faith” we exercise faith by doing faithful things, and the only faithful things that matter to Yahuah is keeping His commands.
Because of this, we do not “have faith”, but rather, we act faithfully.
You know, its pretty bad in the world. I mean, its b a d, and it’s about to go BOOM. And here it is Christmas day. My kids are gone with my wife to visit her father, and have been gone for three days. I’ve been in my chair at my desk for three days installing 1,800 or so songs into my computer, and I’m a little stir crazy. I didn’t go because I have to stay home and feed the livestock – my fleet of 10 chickens. We had 12, but a hawk or a fox nabbed them.
These are my “end of the world” food producers, although I do not know what I will feed them when the end of the world shows up. They do produce a prodigious quantity of excellent eggs, let me tell you. I am inundated with them, so much so that I feed them to my dog and bury them in my garden to fertilize the soil. I give them to friends and eat three to six per day, plus whatever I can force my young sons to eat. Baby Nathan helps out, sometimes 18 at a time as he stands at the side door and throws them onto the side porch to burst and make a mess.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, this is my first communication since the refining of my subscriber database; the separation of the wheat from the tares. Yahuah did call me out of the world, very powerfully. He did radically transform me from hating Him to yearning to be with Him. As one “christian” leader in my local church commented privately to a mutual and respected friend, “He (referring to me) is not like us.” In the subsequent two years since that comment was made, his actions proved repeatedly that he is false to me; not my friend and not my brother.
This is a good video presentation on the obedience to the commands of Yahuah. The one glaring omission is defining “sin” for people, which in 1 John 3:4 is stated “sin is transgression (violation) of the law.”
How To Study The Instructions Of Yahuah – It Is Only Difficult When We Personally Make It Difficult
When one is new to Torah observance, one can find oneself at a loss regarding “Where to start”. Its funny that Yahuah left us His “Instructions” or “Words” (mistransliterated as “Law”), without a “Start Here” button to click.
So one will ask friends, search the interweb, read various sections of Torah and generally attempt to piece together a process of study. One thing for sure you will learn, as did I, is this: Obedience is easy until we make it difficult ourselves. It is our selfish flesh that makes obedience difficult, every time.
1 Peter 4:12 – Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15. If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16. However, if you suffer as a follower of Yahuah through His son Yahusha, do not be ashamed, but praise Yahuah that you are of The way. 17. For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the truth of Yahuah?
“If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”
