Eph 2:10 For we are God’s masterpiece, created in the Messiah Jesus to perform good actions that God prepared long ago to be our way of life.(ISV)
Have you ever wondered whether or not the Lord God ever gets bored? Think about that. He is the Lord God Almighty. The Alpha and the Omega. He is without limit of years, living forever with no beginning nor end. He knows all: Where every electron is in its orbit around the nucleus of every atom that exists in all of creation. He knows which pine needle will next fall from the tree, and every preceding pine needle and subsequent pine needle from the beginning of time to the end of it. He can tell you and show you the sequence of every mosquito bite from the beginning to the end.
He know the names of every person written in His Book of Life. Those names have been there always, and He knew from eternity that Lucifer would rebel and who would go to hell with him in the end. He knew all things before He did the very first thing, and He knew what He was going to do before He did it. I wonder what the first act of God was? How can there be a “first act of God” if He has always been?
It is good that the Apostle Paul stated that we can not understand God. Paul said that God is “inscrutable”, which means that we can never figure Him out; that He is unknowable.
“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unfathomable (inscrutable, unsearchable) are His judgments (His decisions)! And how untraceable (mysterious, undiscoverable) are His ways (His methods, His paths)! https://www.biblegateway.com/verse/en/Romans%2011%3A33
What can a man say about that? We just do not understand the Lord God. Yes, we have His Word, and that is sufficient unto salvation. He teaches us how to walk and talk, what is good and what is evil. We have a glimmering of understanding regarding the beginning and the end, with a larger portion of understanding in the middle – how we should conduct our lives.
With all that said, I pondered today as I was hanging upside down on the inversion table in my garage what the Lord God can do that might give Him some excitement. What could surprise the Lord God?
Well, in short, nothing can surprise Him.
The LORD GOD Delights In His Children
But I tell you this – He delights in His faithful children. He knows who is His and who belongs to Lucifer. No surprises there. But He loves to see us, you and me, walk in faith. He invented joy, and He experiences it within His own being when any child of His does any act in faith to Him. Do you know that all of heaven rejoices when one single soul is saved? When we stand before Him and our name is found in the Book of Life, all of Heaven resounds, thunders with the roar of many millions of voices of believers who precede us into Heaven.
Salvation is a big deal in Heaven, especially because it pleases the Lord immensely, and all in Heaven worship Him. They love to see the Lord God honored by the saints on earth. Your faith is extremely important to your Father, and because it is important to Him, Heaven thunders with praise and exultation when you walk the walk.
The LORD GOD Is With You
You want to literally rock heaven? Be kind to the weak. Be kind to those who vilify you. Extend a peaceful hand to help someone – anyone, and in the name of Yeshua. Do all good things in the name of the Son who voluntarily gave Himself up to be slaughtered for you. Submit your life to love. Lay down your hostilities, renounce your bitterness towards the evil ones who stalk this earth. Forgive all for everything, and know that He wants to be with you with every fiber of His being.
He is with you. He is present even now, as you read this. You feel His presence. He is there. He cares. You are never alone unless you turn away from Him. We turn away when we sin. We turn away when we hate. We turn away when we harbor animosity toward others.
Someday we, you and I, will stand face to face with the Lord God. He who sits upon the sapphire throne, in glory so bright that he cannot be seen for the light which radiates from Him. We will feel small, weak, overwhelmed by His presence.
But for His child who trusted the truth of Jesus, when the Lord God speaks, “Welcome” will be His word. And the roar of joy that rises from the throats His people will shake the vault of Heaven.
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (KJV)
